About
Brenda Tassava is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, and a Certified Veterinary Journalist. She has been the Hospital Administrator at Broad Ripple Animal Clinic & Wellness Center since 2003. In the seven years she’s been in Indianapolis, Brenda has worked with her Practice Owner to grow the Broad Ripple Animal Clinic from a 5-doctor single location to a 7-doctor two-location practice, and created a stand-alone dog training facility to meet the needs of the community.
Brenda is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers’ Association (VHMA), where she serves on the Membership Committee, and is the Chair of the CVPM Board of Directors. She is one of the co-founders of the Veterinary Management Association of Indiana (VMAI), where she currently serves as an officer and Board Member. Brenda is also serves on the Firstline Editorial Advisory Board, where she has been a volunteer since 2010.
Brenda has a deep interest in the Owner-Manager Team concept and in training strong management teams that work towards fulfilling the Practice Owner’s vision and goals. Her other passion is social media and how to best utilize this in veterinary practice to make lasting connections with clients. She frequently writes and speaks on these topics, as well as other areas of veterinary management. Brenda is the author of “Social Media for Veterinary Professionals“, which was published in 2011.
In her personal life, Brenda is a mixed-media artist and enjoys attending her daughter’s viola performances. She and her husband Brock, enjoy traveling with their papillons, Kobe, Jack Sparrow and Tess.
